PROTERRA21 is located at Pedro Nunes Institute. Founded in 1991 by the University of Coimbra, the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN) - Association for Innovation and Development in Science and Technology - is a non-profit private institution of public interest.

Contribute to transform enterprise network and other organizations promoting a culture of innovation, quality, rigor and entrepreneurship, based on a solid enterprise-university interface and acting on three domains:

• Applied research and technological development, consulting and specialized services;
• Business incubation;
• Specialized training and promotion of science and technology.
